McCLYMONT, John Stewart —
The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of John Stewart McClymont on June 11, 2017. Cherished husband of the late Cathy. Loving father of Carol (Sean) and Mark (Jen). Adored grandfather (Gaga) of Ryan, Braden and Devin. Dear brother of Joan and brother in-law to Ian (Gayle). Much loved uncle of Darcy (Kerry), Amy (John), Stuart (Shelby) and Michael (Verna) and a great lifelong friend to many. The loss of John will be felt by all. His kindness, big heart and generosity towards others will be greatly missed. He was deeply involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren. John was devoted to his best friend and high school sweetheart, the late Catherine, who were together for 50 years and married for 43 years; they built a loving life and family together. Lifelong educator, he taught in the Etobicoke School Board for over 25 years as a Teacher and later as a Principal. John took tremendous pride in everything that was going on in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He valued time with the family and golden retrievers, enjoying every minute at the cottage on beautiful Bass Lake. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Thursday, June 15th from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held on Friday, June 16th at 11 a.m. In John’s memory, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
