JOHN SCHMIDT 1926 – 2016 In his 90th year on Sunday, November 6, 2016, John “Hans” Schmidt passed away peacefully in London, Ontario. He will be forever remembered by his loving family: his wife Anna of 66 years, daughter Helen (Helmut) Schwab, son John (Elfriede) Schmidt and loving grandchildren Matthew, Erik (Sarah), Jessika and Mark. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the MARTIN LUTHER EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2379 Lake Shore Blvd. West, Toronto, Ontario. Reception Church Hall at 12:00 noon, followed by the Service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hans’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society Canada.
