BLAKEY, Joseph Of Newmarket, Ontario, born in 1930, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, died in his home on July 25, 2017 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Predeceased by his son Peter, he is survived by his loving wife Lillian and family Moe (Cindy), Phil (Debbie), Bruce (Darlene), Lisa (Steve) and Jennifer. Grandfather to Stephanie, Rob (Tabea), Ashley (Shane), Kristine (Steve), Brittany, Michael, Karissa, Josiah, Nevaeh, Jayden and Kianna. Great-Grandfather to Josie and Everly. Joe’s caring devotion and love for his family will be treasured always. He will also be remembered for his love of his many animals. As per his wishes, there will not be a funeral. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
