LEONE, Joseph Sr. – Born in Pisticci, Matera, Italy, on March 4, 1922. Peacefully passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, with family by his side, at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, ON, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Teresa. Loving father of Joseph (Debbie) and Melina (deceased) (Dale). Cherished Grandpa to his grandchildren: Jessica, Mark, Justin, Nicole and Kim and his great- grandchildren: Phoenix, Lennon, Melina, Clark, Campbell, Cole, Scarlett and Hudson. Beloved son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Carmela (nee Sorge). Predeceased by his brothers: Tony, Ralph, Frank and Salvatore and his sisters: Elisa, Josephine and Rosario. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation of the doctors and nurses at Joseph Brant Hospital for the compassionate care they provided during a most difficult time. Dad was a kind and caring man… a gentleman in every respect and will be greatly missed by us all. Visitation on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home Scarborough Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd. (just east of St. Clair Ave. E.). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 21 Markanna Dr. (on Markham Rd., north of Kingston Rd.).
