JOSEPH SHIBLEY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerome Joseph Shibley at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Jerome was a loving partner to his spouse Elsa and a devoted father to his daughters Tiffany, Tasha (Zac) and Venessa. He was also a constant source of encouragement to his grandchildren and great- grandchild: Shane, Sabrina (Kyle), Raquel, Seth, Blake and Jack. Jerome will also be greatly missed by his siblings: Marie (Guy), Dick (Mary), Corinne (Eddy), Phyllis (John) and Joanne (Norman), sister-in- law Lydia (Tom), brother-in-law Brian (Anna), brother-in-law Alex and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Jerome was born in Port Colbourne to Joseph and Takla (Shaker) on October 10, 1938 and throughout his life he experienced many successful ventures and changes of occupation, among them lawyer, entrepreneur and realtor. He was an avid sports fan and an enthusiastic soccer coach and supporter of his children’s and grandchildren’s teams and games. Among his many interests and hobbies he particularly enjoyed trying his luck at the casino. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many medical staffs who cared for him, particularly to Dr. Chan who inspired him to keep on trying. There has been a private cremation at this time and a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be announced in mid-July.
