JURKAS, Ana Peacefully, passed away at the Heritage Green Nursing Home on Saturday, August 13, 2016 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Rudolf. Predeceased by her daughters Marica Persin and Dragica Grubacevic. Loving mother of Ljubica Kohanic (Ivan) and Josip Jurkas (Mary). Cherished Baka of Jerry (Elka) Persin, John (Nancy) Persin, John (Maggie) Kohanic, Rick (Lily) Jurkas, David Jurkas, Lilly Kohanic, Dennis Grubacevic, Dejan Grubacevic and their families. Ana will be sadly missed by her son-in-law Mijo Persin, her brother, her sister, family, friends in Canada and Croatia. Visitation at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
