JURKOVIC, Arnold A. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Hartwick) for 45 years. Loving father of Brad (Trish O’Neill) and Dave (Dana Reaume). Cherished Grandpa of Ethan, Ryan and Zachary. Dear brother of Anton (José), Edith Bubolic (Tony), Valentin (Suzy) and Robert (Marlène) all of Quebec. Arnold is sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends. Arnold retired from Environment Canada, where he worked as a Research Technologist with the Canada Centre for Inland Waters for over 30 years. Arnold was born in Krummnusbaum, Austria and grew up in Delson, Quebec. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering to Celebrate Arnold’s Life will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 3 – 6 p.m. with Vigil Prayers and Tributes at 4 p.m. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. www.smithsfh.com
