KARL LEON MARTIN December 1972 – March 2017 A resident of Aurora, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Karl was born in North York, Ontario and was raised in Willowdale, Agincourt, Markham and Aurora. He attended St. Brother Andre Catholic High School in Markham, Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket and Dr. G.W. Williams High School in Aurora, where he was recognized for his artistic acumen. Karl was first the first of four children born to Marva and Seymour Martin. He will be remembered fondly forever by his devoted brothers Krieg and Jules and his sister Janelle, his special nephews Eli and Xavier and nieces Scarlett, Elliotte and Nyia, along with countless other relatives and friends to whom he Karl was very special. Karl enjoyed his large circle of friends, his family and riding his motorcycle. Karl touched the lives of many people with his mesmerizing trademark smile and personality. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 5-9 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham (905-305-8508). The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 24th at 11 a.m. at the same location, refreshments to be served following the service. Private interment to take place at a later time.
