KLOPPENBURG, August Herman III “Augie” Surrounded by the love and presence of his family, on January 20, 2017, at Joseph Brant Hospital. Devoted husband of Ann (neé Jones) for over 53 years. Loving father of Anne-Marie Tywonek (Steve), Paul (Chantal) and Fiona. Cherished Opa to Kasia, Stephanie, Lauren and Aiden. Lovingly remembered as ‘Joes’ by his siblings Jan-Stan (Afra), Victoire Jacobs (Frans) and Paul Christiaan. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, USA and overseas. Predeceased by his siblings Alda, Barbara Hustinx and Hubertine. Augie was incredibly proud of his time as a Dofasco employee for over 30 years: the Heat Treat “Hyenas” kept him howling. August loved his family times at Pigeon Lake, and his humble approach to life will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Fornasier and the medical staff of Joseph Brant Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME – BURLINGTON CHAPEL (2241 New Street at Drury Lane (905-637-5233) on Sunday, January 29th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, January 30th from 12 noon to time of Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.
