LAVERTY, Francis “Frank” Michael McKenty (1931 – 2016) Passed away peacefully at the Joseph Brant Hospital on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the age of 85 surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Ellen (nee Keegan) for 64 years. Dear father of Kelly (Christine), Glenn (Denise) and Colleen (Rod). Cherished grandfather to Ryan (Jen), Candice (Kane), Patrick, Emma, Shane, Brandon (Nicole) and Michael. Loving great-grandfather of Tiernan, Rowan, Caelan, Wil, and Raylene. Treasured brother-in-law of the late Stan and Juanita Shanahan and endeared uncle to Lynn (Wes), Karen (Andre), Derrick (Shirley), and Darin. Beloved brother of Patricia (Don), Jo-Ann (Gerry), Gayle (Kerry), Donna (Edward), and Chyrel (Nick). Predeceased by his parents Edward and Ellen Laverty and step-mother Jessie, and his sisters Margaret (Lennon), Karen (Huchuk), and Linda (Foy). Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME , 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. with prayer vigils beginning at 5:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 2016 Blairholm Ave. (corner of Brant Street), Burlington on Wednesday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are welcome and for those who wish, donations in memory of Frank may be made to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation. www.smithsfh.com
