GRECO, LENA (nee BADALI) 1923 – 2021 Passed away peacefully on June 22, 2021 at the age of 98 years.
Lena was predeceased by her siblings and in-laws. Lena’s family is comforted knowing that she is now reunited with her loving husband Tony (1990). Lena was the cherished mother of Jo (Fred Horsley), Mary (Adrian Bassett), Joseph and daughter-in-law, Antonietta. Lena is survived by her 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mom was a woman of deep faith, an attentive, caring mother and grandmother and a loyal friend. Mom always had an open door policy (“coffee and dessert”) and could light up any room. Our family is forever grateful to all the staff at Amica Swan Lake. The PSWs provided care to our Mom with love and dignity. Special thank you to, Imelda, Mom’s best friend and caregiver for over 8 years.
Thank you, also, to Dr. Weissberger, for his compassion and kindness. Due to Covid restrictions, visitation is limited to Friday, June 25th from 9-10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, 191 Wade Gate, Thornhill, Ontario, followed by a private Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Private family interment to follow at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery.
