MALLAN, Liam “Jim” James —
The “Big Yin” has taken his bow. Liam “Jim” Mallan passed away in St. Catharines Hospital on April 2, 2017 with his family by his side. As fellow proud Scot Robbie Burns stated: “If there’s another world, he lives in bliss; If there is none, he made the best of this.” Loving son, brother and uncle, devoted husband to his teenage sweetheart, Anne – for just shy of 52 years – loving Dad to Pauline and Caroline, father-in-law to Kevin (Sharpe) and bursting proud Papa to the “Golden Child” – Alicia. Liam worked hard and toiled even harder trying to spend his kids’ inheritance in a retirement filled with wonderful travels and even better friends met along the way. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association. Arrangements are with George Darte Funeral Home in St. Catharines.
