LINA MARIA FERMO (nee BELLA) April 7, 1922 – June 2, 2017 Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Michael Garron Hospital (Toronto East General Hospital). Beloved wife of Orazio, loving and caring mother to Maria and Corrado and doting Nonna to Ron, Marileina, Lucas and Emily. Lina also leaves behind her brother Nino and an extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Lina emigrated from Pozzallo, Sicily in the early 70s and was an active volunteer within the Roman Catholic Church and a devoted parishioner of St. Theresa’s Parish Shrine of the Little Flower in Scarborough. Her life was filled with travel and an enduring passion for artistic pursuits including embroidery, gardening, cross-stitch and lace making. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, 5-9 p.m. at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario M1S 1T3.
