EDEY, Linda (nee McNeil) A light has gone out in our world with the passing of Linda Edey. Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital on June 28, 2017 with her family by her side. Cherished wife and best friend of the late Ed (2015). Loving and adoring mother of Colin McClintock (Sandra) and Erin Galante (Tony). Step-mother of Gary (Maureen), Todd (Shelley) and Glen (Julia). Loving Grandma of Lauren, Regan and Taryn; and of Melissa (Michael), Michelle, Ryan (Katherine), Christopher, Zachry and Douglas; and great-grandmother to Hailey and Quinn. Sister of Forbes McNeil (Debbi). Linda will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Linda was a dedicated and gifted Kindergarten Teacher with the TDSB for 35 years. There, she took great joy in being a part of the flourishing lives of many young children and considered herself privileged to work every day loving what she did. Of the few things that surpassed her passion for teaching was the immense happiness she felt in sharing her love and caring with family and close friends. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.), on Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 2 – 4 p.m. A private family service will be held at another time.
