January 11, 1944 to December 28, 2016.

Linda Doyle (Karrandjas) age 72 passed away peacefully at the Resthaven residence in Aurora on Wednesday, December 28 2016.

Born and raised in Toronto, she was the eldest of eight children. Married on September 30, 1967 to Ronald Doyle, they welcomed the birth of their two sons, Stephen in 1971 and Kevin in 1972.
Their home on Crawford Ave was always a place of welcome for family and friends. She was an excellent cook, great baker, gracious hostess, and someone that loved to dance.
Above all, Linda’s passion was her family. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than having them near, spending quality time celebrating life to the fullest with each of them, and in more recent years, her four grandsons that she was most proud.
Linda was deeply committed to serving her community. Over the years her activities spanned a number of organizations and charities including the IODE, Aurora and Newmarket Federal and Provincial Progressive Conservative Associations, York Region Community Safety Village, Markham Mobility Wheels, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Yellow Brick House, Aurora’s Seniors Centre, Magna Hoedowns, Anglican church, Parent-Teacher associations, and as a coach/member on various children’s sports teams, among several others.
Linda was born on January 11th 1944 (Sir John A MacDonald’s birthday) She worked on hundreds campaigns in every community where she lived, from Toronto, Tottenham, to Aurora for town council, provincial and federal elections, and leadership campaigns.
Left to mourn the loss of this dedicated woman are her husband, Ron, sons Steve (Shauna), Kevin (Kim), grandsons, Gabriel, Jackson, Ella and Drew, her brother, Peter (Susie), Neil, sister’s Susan, Phyllis, Lou Lou members of their families, and many friends.
The family wishes to thank all those who supported them through the past difficult months, particularly the Rest Haven long-term care team.
Visitation for family and friends will be held before the Funeral Services and the Celebration of Linda Doyle’s Life between 10am until 11am on Tuesday January 3rd. The service will follow the viewing followed by a short reception. There will be a private interment for the family at Queensville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Breast Cancer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
