LoriLouise HAMILTON

HAMILTON, Lori Louise Suddenly on September 11, 2017 due to complications from cancer. Much-loved daughter of the late Harry and Lorraine Hamilton. Mourned by sisters Sharon Aeschelmann (Alain) and Linda Church (Gardner). “Cool” aunt to Carole Aeschelmann (Ian Wisniewski), Nancy Aeschelmann (Geoffrey Hen), Anthony Church (Emma), Corinne Simonyi (Stefan), Heather Church and Katharine Church (Malcolm Stadig). Devoted great-aunt to “nieces and pieces” Charlotte, William, AndrĂ©e, Hugo, Madeleine, Theo and Anna. Lori is also fondly remembered by a wide circle of valued friends and colleagues. Born in Toronto in 1955, she graduated from Kipling Collegiate. A musician’s daughter, she played both piano and flute from an early age. Her interests broadened to dance and theatre, and she performed in many school, university and community productions. Her love of the arts, literature, and travel lasted a lifetime. A graduate of the U of T, Lori later earned a law degree from the University of Windsor and was called to the bar at Osgoode Hall. She had a successful career as an assistant Crown Attorney, taking pride in her work on many challenging assignments, such as her roles in the Coroner’s Office and the Ministry of Labour. Upon retirement she taught criminal law at Humber College. Her ebullient laughter and wicked sense of humour are already sorely missed. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 23rd, at the Old Mill Inn, 1-4 p.m. in the Humber Room.
