MACKIE, L. Doreen At the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, August 1, 2016 in her 88th year, L. Doreen Mackie, nee Burns. Beloved wife and best friend of D. J. Jim Mackie for 26 years. Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Doreen was a retired employee of Dare Candy and Cookies where she worked for 21 years. The family will receive friends at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME , 495 Park Rd. N., Brantford on Friday, August 5 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. when the service will be held in the chapel. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society or your favorite charity would be gratefully appreciated.
