MacPHEE, Grace Kathleen It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Grace; after a long struggle, she went peacefully to sleep on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Juravinski Hospital, in her 93rd year. Devoted wife for 47 years to the late Ludger (2008). Loving mother of the late Diane Burbine, son Michael and daughter Patty (John) Edington. Loving grandmother of Victoria (Aaron). Also survived by her brother Lorne and sister-in-law Betsy. Predeceased by parents George and Leta Summerhayes, brother Foster and sister Marion. She will be sadly missed by her pug Kiwi, her nephews and nieces, and all her extended family. Grace was, as they say in the song, an “amazing” mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. She proudly served in the Canadian forces during WWII. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 50 Brucedale Avenue East on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Ancaster.
