ARMSTRONG, Madeleine Helen (nee Murray) – January 27, 1922 – February 25, 2017 Died peacefully at the age of 95. Madeleine was predeceased by her beloved husband George Christopher “Chris” of 63 years. Loving mother of Rosemary (Hal), Christina (Phil) and Janet (Ross – deceased). She was a dear grandmother of Alison (Craig), Shannon (Ryan), Sarah (Gary), Tim (Mary Courtney), Amy (Irek), Emily (Hayden), Beth (Ryan), Andrew (Jane), Matthew (Ashleigh), Christopher (Kristen) and Heather (Dave). Madeleine was the great- grandmother of Maya, Nathan, Isaac, Micah, Lukas, Liam, Madeleine, Arden, Jemma, Aliah, Eloise, Olivia, Taylor, Merryn, Rosie, Greyland, Jayde, Kathryn, Aria, Paige, Lydia, Jonathan, Catherine, Caden, Madison and Ross. Born in Toronto on January 27, 1922, Madeleine lived a rich and rewarding life. She graduated as an RN and worked at Christie Military Hospital in 1944. She then worked at The Hospital for Sick Children with premature babies for 12 years. She will be dearly missed by her cherished family who loved her very much.
