MARCELO D. MACKINLAY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcelo D. Mackinlay on Friday, April 7, 2017. He died suddenly while visiting family in Argentina. Marcelo was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and mentor. He had a fantastic sense of humour and offered hugs that became legendary. Marcelo was always generous with his time and counsel, both personally and professionally. He had a very successful career in Human Resources and Executive Search, as well as working with Corporate Directors internationally and through the Institute of Corporate Directors. Marcelo will be missed greatly by his wife Tessie, children Tea (deceased, 2002), Marcelo and Rebecca, Maria and Monica, granddaughters Emma, Caitlin and Alyssa and his extended family throughout Argentina. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Church in Oakville (47 Reynolds Street). Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life at a private residence 5 minutes from St. Andrew’s from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. (117 Morden Road, Oakville). Convenient parking available at local church and school. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain Injury Association of Canada in memory of Marcelo and Tessie’s daughter Tea.
