Marguerite (Peggy) MOYNIHAN

(nee DUNCANSON)

March 22, 1925 – June 9, 2017

Peggy passed away peacefully at St. Bernard’s Residence; predeceased by her beloved husband, Leo. She is survived by her sisters Agnes (Nessie) and Veronica (Vera) and her loving children Anne (Aldo), Vincent, Paula, Catherine and Leo. The family extends sincere gratitude to the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood for their unconditional love and spiritual guidance and to the dedicated staff at St. Bernard’s. We would also like to acknowledge Peggy’s Care Workers for their dedication and service. Throughout her life, Peggy had many ‘favourite things’: her love of music and singing in choirs, her penchant for planning trips to Scotland and to many Canadian destinations, her calling to Manitoulin Island and spending time there with her dear sister, Nessie, her life in Toronto which included many day trips on the T.T.C. to the Island, Harbourfront and the Beaches and her weekly jaunts to the Eaton Centre where she enjoyed many lunches in the Cafeteria! Wherever Peggy travelled, she would find a bench to perch and savour her surroundings. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., at Burnhamthorpe, on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor St. W., Toronto, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. If desired, remembrances may be made to St. Bernard’s Residence. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca
