Marguerite Sperry, 91, of Burks Falls, died peacefully on January 2, 2016 in Huntsville, ON.
Born to George and Bertha Shipman on October 24, 1924, she lived in Toronto, summered in Haliburton and was schooled at Moulton Ladies College. In the ’40s she served as a NWT missionary and radio DJ, graduated as an RN in 1953 and later earned a BA from University of Toronto.
Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Eleanor and Betty and brother Bill. She will be greatly missed by 12 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at Dee’s Restaurant, Burks Falls on July 23, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. All who knew and loved her are welcome.
