NARDOZI, Maria (nee Caldaroni) – It is with profound sadness that the family of Maria Nardozi announces her passing on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Markham Stouffville Hospital. Born on March 9, 1929 in Monte San Giovanni, Italy, Maria was predeceased by her husband Enrico Nardozi. She is survived by her daughter Lina (Matthew) and son Joseph (Carmela); four grandchildren Claudia (Wassim), Joseph, Angela (Danny) and Enrico; and two great- grandchildren Jasmina and Serena. Maria loved spending time gardening, knitting and playing with her grandchildren. The family is grateful to the staff of Union Villa and Markham Stouffville Hospital for their kindness, care and compassion. Family and friends are welcome at a visitation on Sunday, March 19th and Monday, March 20th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME, Scarborough Chapel, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East, at Warden, 416-773-0933. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, March 21st, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 14 Highgate Drive (Birchmount, north of Steeles). Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
