BARKOVIC, Marija It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Marija “Maca”, surrounded by her family, at the Juravinski Hospital on July 26, 2017 at the age of 70. Predeceased by her parents Petar and Barbara Mikan , her brother Josip Mikan and her companion Kiki. Beloved wife of Josip for 50 years. Loving mother of Robert (Lynne) and Carmen (Mike). She will be deeply missed by family and friends in Canada, United States and Croatia. Maca was a strong willed lady with a generous heart who gave of herself to care for her husband for the last 19 years. Special thanks to Dr. Simon Oczkowski and the nurses of the ICU for their compassionate care.
