MARTINWILLIAM GOLD

GOLD, MARTIN WILLIAM December 30, 1950 – July 23, 2017 With deep sadness, we have lost our very special and precious Marty. He had a lot of hardship in his short life, but was a loving son and the best husband any woman could wish for. I fell in love with him and became his best friend for life. Marty had a great sense of humour, he kept us laughing and it was a joy to be in his presence. Marty was a great enthusiast for golf, hockey, tennis, biking or simply walking and exploring the city and all it had to offer. He was also recognized as an outstanding VIA Rail Customer Service Representative and Trainer for 37 years. Anyone who met Marty, fell in love with him and they became best friends for life. Marty leaves a legacy with his friends as an outstanding, compassionate and best friend anyone could have. His complete devotion and love for his spouse Carole was known to everyone. After battling a serious illness for almost two years, we are all devastated and heartbroken that he passed away and will no longer be in our lives. Yours Forever to the love of my life, Carole. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Doris and sister Shirley Gold. Carole will celebrate Marty’s life and achievements with devoted friends at The Holy Rosary Church, 354 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto. Visitation is at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. and a Reception in the Hall at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Marty would love that you make any donation to a charitable association of your choice.
