MARY CONSTANCE BONNICI December 17, 1927 – November 11, 2016 In her 89th year, suddenly and unexpectedly at Sunnybrook Health Sciences in Toronto. Eldest child of Charles and Mary Bonnici of Toronto. Divorced from Richard Baiden of Kingston, Ontario. Predeceased by her youngest daughter Patricia and survived by her siblings Daniel, Donna Jowett (nee Bonnici) and Rick. Loving mother of Larry, Laura and Blake Baiden, grandmother of Alexandria, Samantha and Ashley Reniers and Katlyn Napier, great-grandmother of Jemma, Matheus, Gabriella, (Reniers) Owen and Wyatt (Napier). Connie was born in and lived her entire life in Toronto. She was proud of Toronto, proud to have been born and raised in downtown Toronto. The family home she grew up in, 7 Draper Street, is now a heritage property. Connie left Central Technical High School in 1944 to work for the war effort, later putting herself through night school to achieve her High School Diploma and acquire Secretarial skills that led to a career at Seneca College. She met her husband, Richard Baiden, while working at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. In later years she travelled through England and France and finally visited Malta, the country of her father’s birth. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.), Toronto, on Saturday, November 19th, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
