MARY ELIZABETH LORETTA AUGUSTUS (nee DUNBAR) January 13, 1921 – May 17, 2017 Retired Kindergarten Teacher (Etobicoke) Mary passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with her daughters at her side at home at Amica Barrie late Wednesday, May 17th. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Augustus. Mother of Grant (Lynda) Augustus of Victoria, BC, Rosemary (Rick) Hartley of Washago, ON and Alison (Wayne) Hubbard of Barrie, ON. Grandmother of Todd Augustus, Ashley Augustus, Sara Hartley (Brian McCaig), Melissa Hartley (Jason McKenzie), Jason (Amanda) Hubbard and Jocelyn (Corbett) Rowcliffe. GG to Hamish and Maeve McCaig, Riley, Simon and Cooper Hubbard, Ainsley and Millasyn Rowcliffe. Mary loved her family and her times spent with them. She enjoyed the outdoors and all that nature has to offer. Thanks to the amazing staff at Amica who truly cared for Mary. We are so grateful for the care and compassion proved to the entire family. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie, at 10 o’clock on Saturday, May 27, 2017. A reception will follow at Adams Funeral Home, 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice or to one of Mom’s favourites, Covenant House or the Humane Society, would be appreciated by the family.
