Maude”Aunt Maude” MINGO-WILSON

MINGO-WILSON, Maud “Aunt Maud” After a long, full life of 109 years, Maud passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on June 27, 2017. Dearly missed by her daughter Doreen and predeceased by her granddaughter Maureen (1989) and son Vibert (1998). Grandma of Bert, Clarice, Carl, Kevin, Floyd, Kim, Cathy, Michael, Tammy and Paul. Great grandma of Nina, Tyler and great great grandma of Devine and Israel. Predeceased by her siblings. Fondly remembered by her extended family in Canada, USA and Guyana. Aunt Maud was a no nonsense, shoot from the hip lady who was always looked to for guidance in raising children. She took on the task of raising other people’s children giving the best in life values and lessons she had to offer. She worked also as a seamstress, she ran a bakery, sold jewelry, she worked hard for everything she had. She will be missed for all of her years of wisdom and caring she gave to everyone. Visitation for Aunt Maud will be held at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King St. E (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
