SILVA, MAVIS Born September 27, 1922 Mavis Silva on Sunday, June 18, 2017. It was with great sadness and a tremendous sense of loss that our family said goodbye to our beloved mother Mavis at the ripe old age of 94. Mavis was dearly loved by Winston, her husband of 71 years, who predeceased her by 6 years. We are sure that she is with him now and her son Peter in heaven. For the past 25 years and prior to her death she was lovingly cared for by her doting daughter Kathleen. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Kathleen and Claire, her sons Geoffrey, Brian and Patrick, her entire extended family of daughters-in-law (Maureen and Tiggy) and all her grand and great-grandchildren. May her soul forever rest in peace. Visitation will be held at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Thursday, June 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3526 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough, on Friday, June 23rd at 10 a.m. We ask that anyone wishing to make a donation in her name consider the Alzheimer Society.
