BLAZENKO, Mykola “Nick Surrounded by the love of his family, Mykola passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Mississauga Trillium Hospital at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Jacqueline for 63 years. Loving father of Walter, Roman (Diane), Kathy Mochernuk (Robert), John (Lisa), Peter (Deanna) and Andrea Mihalick (John). Proud Dido of Jessica (Russell), Nicholas, Michael (Liz), Nicole, Rebecca, Nathan, Will, Matthew and great-grandchildren Chelsey and Hayley. Cherished brother of Maria in the Ukraine and brother-in-law of Bill Petras (late Nora) Donna Czach (Ed). Dear uncle of David Petras (Joan), Janet Petras (Sarah), Lisa Wood (Dan) and the late Paul. Great-uncle of Sam, John and Kate. Nick will be deeply missed and remembered by Lori Blazenko, all of his family and friends and his dog Sparkles. Visitation will take place at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line (at Dundas), Oakville, on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda to follow. Divine Liturgy on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Dormition of the Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3625 Cawthra Rd., Mississauga. Interment at the Glen Oaks Cemetery. A reception to follow at 1 p.m. at St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre, 1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville.
