Marguerite Alice NYE (nee Chapman)
NYE, Marguerite Alice (nee Chapman) Marguerite passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her loving husband A.G.K. “Nip” Nye (1989). Cherished mother of Tim Nye and Kevin and Ann Nye. Dearly loved Granny of Michael (Amanda), Josh (Taylor) and Marlee (Kyle). Marguerite will also be remembered by extended family and many friends. She treasured the relationships she built throughout the years, cared for others deeply and was especially grateful for her friendship with Iris Bonanno. Marguerite was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church where she dedicated her time and beautiful craftsmanship to the Christmas Bazaar. She was a proud member of her community and local business owner of Edgecombe Womenswear for many years. Blessed with a long and healthy life, Marguerite will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by many. The family wish to extend their sincere gratitude to the kind and caring staff at The Williamsburg Uptown Seniors Living where Marguerite was proud to call home. Private cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church (1371 Elgin Street, Burlington), on Thursday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Private Interment at St. Luke’s Church to take place at a later date.
