COOMBS, Oscar Graham October 3, 1928 – June 21, 2017 We are sad to announce the passing of Oscar Graham Coombs. Born in Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland, came to Toronto in 1949 where he met his bride of 60 plus years, his beloved Theresa. Oscar and Theresa raised seven children living happily for many years in Oakville and finally in Hamilton. He was a tireless provider, and loving family man. A proud member of Local 793 heavy equipment operators union for over 40 years. He was a resident at St. Joe’s Villa for the final year of his life with his bride. The family would like to thank the amazing staff on the second floor Maple unit for making his stay comfortable, carefree and happy. Special thanks to Dr. Boyd, Bethany, Laurie, Jenny, Martin and Stacey. He will be sadly missed by his wife Theresa, children Bonnie (Paul), predeceased by his daughter Margie, Mary (Scott), Hazel, Graham (Sandy), Ruby (Brian), and Annie. He was a loving grandfather to Wade (Natalie), Shannon (Ken), Bobby, Adam, Chris, Stacy, Leah, Zane, Olivia, and Josh. He cherished his many great-grandchildren. He will also be leaving behind many relatives in Newfoundland and Ontario. Please join us for a Celebration of Oscar’s Life to be held on July 16th at The Knights of Columbus, 222 Queenston Rd., Hamilton, ON L8K 1G6, from 1 – 4 p.m.
