Patrick Joseph McKEON

May 18, 1959 – January 17, 2017

Patrick was a great friend, brother, son, uncle and so much more. We wish we had more time with him as he was a bright spark any day you talked to him. He had an uncommon way about him, quietly sincere with a keen intelligence that allowed him to explore many subjects of interest deeply and thoroughly and his opinions were insightful and fresh. Patrick’s illness was unexpected and sudden. We thought we’d have more time with him and had great plans ahead. He appreciated a nice meal and family gatherings; he was a world traveller and a sports enthusiast; he knew the price of things (stocks and commodities, beer by country, etc); he was a clever bridge player and always a reliable participant for cottage games. He was much too young to go and we will miss him every day. Patrick is survived by his four loving siblings. He was the middle child and as such one of the few people to have an older sister (Betsy), a younger sister (Annie), an older brother (Paul) and a younger brother (Mike). Our respective spouses Dave, John, Barb and Carolyn also loved Pat and will miss him greatly. In addition, Patrick also leaves behind 3 nephews (Jonathon, Robbie and Jack) and 2 nieces (Laura and Niki) who thought fun Uncle Pat was simply the best. Many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends will mourn Pat and miss his interesting take on things. Pat was predeceased by our parents Louis and Mary McKeon who died in 2014 and 2013, respectively. We’ll miss you Pat and you’ll never be forgotten. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Monday from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Of Sorrows, 3055 Bloor Street West, Toronto, on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. –
