Peggy Joan PETRIE
PETRIE, Peggy Joan Peggy slipped away peacefully in her sleep on June 25 at the young at heart age of 86 at Regina Gardens LTC. Sister to Joyce (deceased), and brothers David (deceased) and Brian of France. Mum to Sandra (Pete Morris), and Carol (Frank Muir). Grandma to John Morris, Wendy Morris, Andrew Mushing (Patti) and Steph Muir-Moniz (Eddie). Great-grandma to Lily, Tessa, Shane, Lucas and Ethan. Peggy was an avid gardener winning many ribbons at the Heritage African Violet Society. She excelled at knitting, cross stitch, sewing and quilting. She flourished with her move to Regina Gardens. The family cannot begin to express our heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care and love the staff and residents showered on our Mum, their care helped Peggy enjoy life again. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, June 29, at 2 p.m. in the Regina Gardens Chapel, 536 Upper Paradise Rd., Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations made payable to Regina Gardens LTC or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Mum has been released from her pain and the debilitation of Alzheimer’s and for that, we are thankful.
