McQUEEN, Peter Weylie It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on May 23, 2017, after a lengthy illness, Peter Weylie passed away peacefully in his 81st year, surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Kathryn. Dear father of Scott and Sue, and Kari and Andrew. Loving and devoted papa to Megan, Nicholas, Taylor and MacKenzie. Survived by his brother Leslie McQueen and his sister Jean Senn. Predeceased by his brothers Murray and Jack McQueen and sister Margaret Anderson. Long time employee of Day and Campbell Ltd. Peter kept busy helping others in his community. He was a very active volunteer with Glanbrook Home Support, Hamilton International Airport and the Red Cross. Peter was a long time member of the Kinsman Club of Canada and a proud member of the Masonic Lodge. He also held various positions at Binbrook United Church. Special thanks to the Staff of 7 South at Hamilton General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at Binbrook United Church, 2623 Binbrook Rd, Binbrook on Saturday May 27, 2017 at 11 a.m., Inurnment to follow at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
