PRINGLE, Donald C. Burlington Ontario / The Points West Bay Donald C. Pringle, 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at the cottage on the Bras d’Or Lake, Cape Breton, NS, the place he loved best! Donnie was born in Riverport, NS on October 28, 1944, son of the late Will and Mary (MacIsaac) Pringle, but he grew up in The Points, West Bay. Donnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, singing, square dancing and sports. Donnie had a successful 35-year career with the Royal Bank of Canada that began in St. Peter’s, NS in 1964 and later took him to Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario where he retired in 1999 from Royal Bank of Canada, Toronto, Special Loans Division. He was predeceased by his in-laws Todd and Abbie Wambolt. Donnie is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 47 years, Joanne (Wambolt), his three sons, Trevor (Lysa), Trent (Vandna) and Travis (Adrienne), all of Ontario. He is the proud Grampi of Emelia, Bailey, Lauren, Alec, Akshay and Krishan. Surviving siblings, Ron, The Points, Al (Susan) The Points, David (Sharon) Newtown, Nadine (Brian) Fitzgerald, Kentville, Bill (Sheila), Halifax, Bruce (Jean) The Points, Dawn (Bob) Ettinger, Milford. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Black River United Church, with Rev. Donna Lovelace presiding; Private family interment will follow in MacKay Cemetery. In memoriam donations to Strait Richmond Palliative Care would be appreciated.
