Ralph Howard HEASTONT
HEASTONT, Ralph Howard (Ralphie Boy) February 26, 1946 – July 18, 2017 Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a quick wit and loved his family, friends, and a social drink. During the past year he has taken great comfort in his family, especially his loved daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandson. Ralph loved his chair, country music and as much candy as he could get his hands on. He was a hunter, fisherman and loved driving in the countryside watching nature, looking for bungie cords, screw drivers and hub caps, he could spot on the roadside. His eyesight so good at one point he could spot coyotes, rabbits and deer fields away. Ralph’s happiest years working, were for the City of Hamilton, as a mechanic at The Barn on Rymal Road. The guys were great friends and they had a lot of laughs together. Loved husband to Janet (nee Boyce), father to Jennifer Greenway (Scott), Crystal Heastont (Chris) and Lindsay Farquhar (Duncan), eight grandchildren, Jaegar (Nicole), Cole, Jessie, Nick, Travis, Jax, Mackenzie, and Avery, one great-grandson Aydn. He will also be missed by Janet’s sister Grace Baldwin (Bryan) and predeceased by Susan Unelli. Brother to Ferguson Heastont (Eleanor), Ron Heastont (Merilieau), Irene Steinhoff (Don), brother-in-law Don Bartlett and sister-in-law Norma Gilvear. Predeceased by his father and mother Ivan and Amy, Dorothy Armstrong (Howard), Jim Heastont (Fay), Doris Bartlett, and Wayne Heastont. Ralph will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family, he cared deeply for. Special thanks to Dr. Bulger (Ralph’s country family doctor), Marge and Judy. They were so helpful, informative and wonderful to our family. Special thanks also for the loving care we received from the staff and volunteers of Bob Kemp Hospice. They were wonderful to Ralph and our family and friends. Thank you also to the C.C.A.C. for all their caring services, VON nurses especially Victor and Meagan, and the PSWs who helped our family through the past year. If desired, donations to Bob Kemp Hospice would be sincerely appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clubhouse at 1000 Silverbirch Blvd., Mount Hope (off 20 Road, west of Upper James Street, Hamilton) on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for our family and friends.
