Greatly loved by his neighbours, as well as all who knew him. Charlie was an automotive enthusiast and liked nothing better than to be behind the wheel or under the hood of his dream car, his Miata. He was also more than happy to get under your car to help you if you were having mechanical troubles. A natural teacher, he never failed to turn a car repair into a learning opportunity. He ensured that the work he did was well explained and that you understood the process he followed. He took particular delight in his role as grandfather and was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren, who called him “Pops-Pop.” An ardent and lifelong supporter of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Canadian football. A seasoned globetrotter, Charlie enjoyed travel, driving himself and his family across Canada coast to coast, as well as to New York, Colorado, Florida, and many trips to Manitoulin and Sauble Beach.
