RICHARD (OREST) O’KOPNIAK August 28, 1940 – December 25, 2016 He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Scarborough General Hospital after losing his battle with cancer. His faith in Jesus was very important to him. Preceded in death by his parents, Annie and Andrew Okopniak. He will be truly missed by Hilde O’Kopniak (nee Berg), sons David (Allison) and Daniel (Michelle), grandchildren Darrin, Cassidy, Mackenzie, Justine, Cory, Sarah-Bella, Kristianna and Noah, sister Eileen Burba (Paul), nephews Douglas (Judy) and David (Joyce), niece Lisa, cousin Walter Okipniuk (Zenia) and their family, and dear friends. We will surely meet again in the place that God has prepared for us. Visitation will be held at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (west of Warden), on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the chapel at 12 p.m. with reception to follow. 3:30 p.m. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery, 2845 Bloor Street West.
