WILSON, Robert Gordon “Bob” 1924 – 2017 With sadness we announce the passing of Bob Wilson, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Peacefully surrounded by his family at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, at the age of 92. Predeceased by his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wilson, sister Gerry and wife Shirley. Bob and Shirley were married for over 67 wonderful years. Devoted father to Tim (Helen), Patti (Randy), Jim (June) and Penny (Andy). Proud grandfather of Amy (Jason), Sarah (Quinn), Leah (Chris), Jamie, Andrea (Joe), Ryan, Jaxon, Keegan and great-grandfather to David, Peyton, Ellie and Anara. Bob devoted his life to helping others. He served in the Navy and Air Force during the war, was a successful entrepreneur and actively volunteered in his community (Hamilton Rotary Club, Easter Seals). He will forever be remembered for his love of horses and dogs, infectious sense of humour, insightful wisdom, and his unwavering commitment and love for his family. Thank you to Dr. Grzeslo for his compassionate care, the staff at Joseph Brant Hospital and Sunrise of Burlington. A private family service will be held to remember and celebrate Bob’s life.
