Robert Mark JOHNSON
Robert Mark Johnson March 6, 1957 – March 16, 2017 It is with deep sadness that the family of Mark Johnson announce his unexpected passing at Leamington Hospital, aged 60 years. Mark was the beloved youngest son of the late C.W. and Margaret Johnson, and the youngest brother to Ann (Roger), Donald (Teri) and David (MaryAnne). ‘Uncle Mark’ to Christopher, Sarah, Jason, Andrew, Lucas and Charlie, ‘Great Uncle Mark’ to Aynsley, Reid, Ethan and Madison, all of Burlington. Mark graduated from Aldershot Secondary and Mohawk College, living in Burlington and later in Stoney Point, Lake St. Clair. Mark was determined and courageous in the face of great challenges, as demonstrated by his love of wheelchair marathons, his independent living and traveling, his passion for music and his devotion to his beautiful dogs. Mark’s infectious laugh and vibrant smile will be missed by his family, numerous friends and many cousins on both Johnson and Pridham sides of the family. A Gathering to remember Mark will be held on April 29th from 1-4 p.m. at The Sealey Park Scout Hall, 115 Main St. South, Waterdown. If so desired, any charitable donations to the Canadian Spinal Research Organization or The Rick Hansen Institute in memory of Mark would be most appreciated by the Johnson Family, or by simply promoting awareness for wheelchair accessibility everywhere. Condolences may be sent to teamjohn@idirect.com. Run like the wind… soar like an eagle…be free… dearest Mark
