BUTTLE, Roderick Charles (WWII-Merchant Navy)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Harmony Hill Retirement Community on Friday, April 21st, 2017 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his loving wife June of 65 years. Loving father of Dale Buttle (the late Ronald Eberwein), David Buttle, Kevin Buttle (Ondina) and Alden Buttle (Rachel). Dear brother of Wayne Buttle. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jacqueline, Fabia, Anthony, Kayla, Sarah, Ashley, Carmen and 6 great grandchildren. Thank you to the staff at Harmony Hill Retirement Community for their compassion and care. Proud veteran and member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, April 26th from 3:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 4:30 p.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted to Royal Canadian Legion “Poppy Fund”.
