RONALD FISHER
Ronald Fisher, of Scarborough, Ontario, died peacefully at the Oshawa General Hospital on October 16, 2016 in Oshawa, Ontario, at the age of 81.
Ron is survived by his son Ronald Fisher Jr. (Beth) of Oshawa, Ontario, and daughter Laura Randall (Aaron) of Whitby, Ontario. He was grandfather to Scott, Eric, Courtney and Kelsey. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Ann Fisher, of Scarborough, Ontario.
Ron was born on April 11, 1935 in Toronto, Ontario to Phoebe and Samuel Fisher. He married Jeanette Ann Pyper in 1957, and together they built their home in Agincourt, Ontario.
Ron spent 51 years as a member of the UA Local 46 Plumbers, Steamfitters, Welders and Apprentices Union, where he worked as a pipe welder and pipe welding instructor. Ron leaves a legacy of knowledge and wisdom with the many students he taught welding over a 35-year period, up until May of 2016. He will be greatly missed by his family, close friends and colleagues.
Ron requested to be cremated. His ashes will be interred during a private family service at the family plot in Brooklin, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lakeridge Health Found
