GOUGH, Ronald – With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Gough in his 80th year. Ronald passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 in North York General Hospital surrounded by loving family and friends. Predeceased by his cherished parents Massie Gough and Private William E. Gough, 123 Battalion CEF, loving sisters Violet and Edna and dearest brother William. Ronald, a retired and well-respected educator who held many esteemed positions at the Toronto District School (Scarborough). Will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his students and colleagues by being supportive in helping further their education. Ronald was known to be an avid bridge player. Enjoyed watching tennis, figure skating, the theatre as well as being a loyal fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. Visitation at PAUL O’CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Warden and Pharmacy), on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service in our Chapel at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Pine Hills Cemetery. In memory of Ronald, the family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers to the Lung Association. A very special thanks to all the staff at West Park for their kindness and compassion.
