Rose KUCHMA
KUCHMA, Rose Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, March 23rd in her 84th year. Devoted daughter to the late Stella and Charlie Dvernechuk. Beloved wife of Victor Kuchma for the past 62 years. Loving mother of Rick (Sandra), Kathy (Edward), Ronald, and Lori. Adoring grandmother of Rachael and Katie Ryder. Dear sister to Jimmy (Darlene), and the late Michael, Eddie, George, and Nicky. Rose and Vic enjoyed a life dedicated to each other and their children. A complete page could be filled listing why she is so cherished by her entire family, and the many friends and neighbours who were fortunate enough to experience life and share time with her. Her love, devotion and generosity ran deep. She was truly one of a kind, and her humour, wit, attentiveness, cooking, baking, homemaking skills, and party planning are legendary. She has left us with a lifetime of beautiful memories. The stories are endless from her children’s friends about the wonderful meals and conversations they enjoyed in the Kuchma home. She made everyone feel welcome. Over the years, many people have shared with us what a memorable impression she left on them. She was kind, warm and genuine, and she had a way of connecting with everyone. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the amazing caregivers at St. Peter’s Hospital (3 East), who were so kind and compassionate to “Rosie”, as well as all the caregivers we encountered through CCAC. Rose was laid to rest in a private service on March 27th, at Woodland Cemetery. A special thank you to Helen Humphreys for conducting a beautiful and heartfelt service. Also, special thanks to her beloved nephew Paul Kocsis and niece Nancy Siwak and their families, who gave their Aunt Rose so much joy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, McMaster Children’s Hospital, or St. Peter’s Hospital would be appreciated. We will “take care of each other”, we will always love you, and we know you “love us more”.
