SMITH, Sheila Ruth (nee MUNRO) Born July 12, 1938 and passed away suddenly September 5, 2017. Beloved wife and best friend and girlfriend of Doug. Loved sister of Ann (Joe), Dorothy (Art) and Jeannie (Larry). Predeceased by her sister Cairine and parents Reginald and Jean Munro. Loved aunt of Kelley (Jeff), Neil (Kim), Michael (Marissa), Karen (Dave) and Linda. Loved great-aunt of nine and great-great-aunt of three. She will be missed by her many friends and neighbours. Sheila was born in Stratford and lived most of her life in the Beach area of Toronto. She and Doug were married September 18, 1965. Sheila volunteered with the Girl Guides of Canada, Guide Troop 25 and at Williamson Road School. She enjoyed sewing, ballet, Tai Chi, playing cards and was an avid reader. Family will receive friends at the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel, on Saturday, September 16, 2017, beginning at 10:30 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. Reception to be held at the Funeral Home after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diabetes Canada or The Lung Association. Now she can rest in peace.
