SPENCERSCOTT PEHLEMAN

SPENCER SCOTT PEHLEMAN October 30, 1958 – July 10, 2016 Scott died unexpectedly at Sunnybrook Hospital in the early morning hours of July 10th. Scott was an exceptional son, brother, uncle, father and husband. He leaves a broken hearted family behind. A devoted Daddy, Scott will not see his three daughters become women, but his deep love for Emma (16), Eve (14), Ellery (9) and his dear wife Jean (Birch) will be a guiding force for all time. He was born in Nipigon, Ontario, to Mildred (Peggy) and Scott Pehleman, both now deceased. He was raised in the nearby paper mill town of Red Rock on the shores of Lake Superior and he worked in the mill to put himself through school. He majored in business administration at the University of Toronto and he lived the rest of his life in the city. Scott worked variously for American Express, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and CI Mutual Funds. For the past ten years he worked at TD Wealth Management, a job where he fulfilled his passion for investing. While working, Scott also graduated from Queen’s University with a Masters Degree in business administration. Also surviving in sadness are his older sisters Patsy Pehleman and Christine (Sawchuk) and brother-in-law Harvey, as well as Scott’s niece Marni Watts (Chris), his nephews Ken (Sandra) and Kurtis (Tarra) and the Pehleman’s honorary brother Gord Cormier and brother-in-law Eric (Birch). Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church (100 Old Orchard Grove, Toronto), on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1 p.m. Reception will follow at the Toronto Cricket Club (141 Wilson Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences www.rskane.ca
