COOPER, STEVEN After a courageous battle, Steven ‘Scoop’ Cooper of Pickering, died in his 59th year. He passed peacefully at home with his family by his side on June 19, 2017. Loving husband of Lori Cooper (nee Houser), beloved father of Jennifer, Stephanie and Katherine, cherished son of Honora and Cyril (deceased) and brother of Lesley Mulvihill and Andrew (Michele). Sadly missed by sister-in-law Shari Houser, brother-in-law Brad Houser, sister-in-law Carolyn Popp (Alan). Also missed by nieces and nephews Ryan, Erin and Kevin Mulvihill, Kyle Cooper and Sarah Katsoulos. Greatly missed by extended family and friends. Steven’s hard work ethic was admired by all who knew him. Golf, running, home renovations and his beloved Manchester City were some of Steven’s favourite passions and pastimes. Taken too soon, he will be forever in our hearts and minds. Visitation will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village, Ajax, ON (905-428-8488), on Friday, June 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the McEachnie Chapel on June 24th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at the McEachnie Family Centre. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Steve’s life. Donations are welcome to Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society .
