BRYANS, Thomas Lawrence “Lorne” October 30, 1929 – August 31, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne on August 31, 2017. Dear son of the late James and Thomasina Bryans, Lorne was predeceased on July 4, 2017 by his beloved wife, Phyllis “Phyl”. With Phyl’s death, Lorne lost the centre of his life, his dearest companion of 65 years. Lorne was a loving and devoted father to Heather (Carolyn) and a cherished brother to his surviving siblings, Bill, Jean and George and to his siblings who predeceased him, Catherine “Kit” and Bob. Lorne was known for his love of gardening, baking (when Phyl would let him in the kitchen) and antiquing, but above all Lorne will be remembered for his generous spirit and his kind heart. Lorne will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby, 905-443-3376, on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
