GOLINI, Velia Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a short stay at the Juravinski Hospital, Velia passed away on Wednesday, May, 24 2017 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband Antonio. Loving mother of Joseph (Shirley) and Rita (Joe) Stokl. Beloved Nonna of Christina (James), Jay (Zoe) and Andrew (Nicole). Great-nonna to Marlow and Mila. Survived by her brother Leopoldo and predeceased by her two brothers and two sisters. Velia will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special thank you to the CCAC (Tamara Smith), the staff at Villa Italia for their care and support, Dr. R. Sztramko, Dr. A. Taniguchi and the 3B staff at Juravinski Hospital as well as Dr. J. Miklea and Mike Spoljar (NP). Visitation at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. (near James) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
